Donald O'Meara

My family and I moved to the Raleigh area in 2012. I was born and raised in Ashburn, Virginia

with four older sisters, I am the baby and only boy of the family. I attended college at Pfeiffer

University where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Sports Management with a minor in

Business Administration and then went to UNCW to work on my teaching certification. I met

my wife, Whitney at UNCW and after college we moved to Northern Virginia in 2002. Best

decision I ever made by the way is my wife Whitney.

After eleven years of teaching, coaching and being an entrepreneur (I ran an amusements

business) we decided on a lifestyle change for our family. We moved to Garner, NC where we

rented for a year before settling into the Cleveland area of Clayton JOCO. In 2014 my wife

convinced me to try real estate and boy am I glad she did.

In 2016 we sold our amusements business and never looked back. I worked at Better Homes

and Garden Go Realty and Be Home Realty before starting O’Meara Realty Group in 2017 which

soon became its own firm in 2018. We love our community and being involved with kids and

families in the area. I still enjoy coaching; it is my passion (mainly basketball & baseball.) We

are ACC sports fans, enjoy attending Church, drag racing, traveling/camping, and giving back to

our community.

We thank God every day for his provisions in our life and business. When you love what you do

it’s not a job! For me real estate has become just like coaching with an amazing team around

me, we grow and learn together every day. We have been so blessed with the most amazing

clients, who have become friends/family over time. We are only as good as our team. If you are
